Boone County sheriff's deputies say they arrested a man who stole wire designed to fix lines hit hard by the storms.
Investigators got a tip that Robert Powers, of Seth, had taken the wire to his house.
When they got there, deputies say they found several hundred pounds of copper and aluminum wire.
AEP workers confirmed it was their wire and cable.
Dispatchers say Powers called police to turn himself in.
