Ironton, OH residents now have a new medical facility for their use.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for St. Mary's Medical Campus Ironton was held on Sunday.
The facility will provide 24/7 emergency services that will be supported by board certified trained physicians and nursing staff.
It will also provide laboratory and imaging services such as x-rays, ultrasounds, and mammograms.
There will be 71 full-time employees that will work at the 46,000 square foot building.
"This is extremely important to the community. Not only quality health care but jobs. It is an economic shot in the arm to the community," said Tim Parnell of St. Mary's Medical Center.
