Storms that hit the Kanawha Valley Sunday afternoon have forced some changes in Charleston.

The city's emergency relief shelter has been moved to the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, according to a news release from the city. Four families displaced by the recent storms had to stay there Sunday night.

The Cato and Kanawha City pools also still have no power, the news release states. The King Center Pool will be the only city-owned pool open today. When power is restored to the other pools, it could take another day to clean them for public use.

The North Charleston Community Center and the Roosevelt Neighborhood Center are open on their normal schedules today. The Kanawha City Community Center is closed because of a power outage, according to the news release. The King Center is closed because it is being used as an emergency relief shelter.
