Two men have been arrested in Boone County in connection with the theft of a Frontier Communications telephone substation generator.

According to the criminal complaints, two witnesses reported seeing Bobby Buzzard and Jason Clay cut the substation fence to remove an electric generator.

The generator, valued at $1,200, was taken from the substation at the intersection of state Route 3 and Tony's Branch Road. It had been keeping telephone service on during the power outage.

They were both charged with felony grand larceny.
