WVDHHR announced SNAP replacement benefits for storm victims

Posted: Updated:

Due to the recent storms that left several residents without power, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is adjusting it's Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as the "Food Stamp" program.

Families on the program who lost their food after the storm will be eligible for replacement benefits for the month of June. All application benefits should be made by July 30th.

To apply for replacement benefits, call your local Department of Health and Human Resources office, call the customer service center at 1-877-716-1212, or go online at www.WVDHHR.org and select "Snap Replacement".
