American Electric Power has made tremendous progress in restoring power across the region, but there are still plenty of people in the dark.

Repair trucks arrived in Bancroft early Monday morning to restore power to people who live on Rollen St., and on Schowen Hill Road.

Lois Bailey and Deborah Tucker have only been neighbors for three months, but when Tucker's electricity was restored four days after last month's storm, she ran two power lines from her home to Bailey's to make sure she could run her air conditioning, fans and refrigerator.

On Schowen Hill Road, the water pump station has been idle since the electricity went out nine days ago, meaning about a half-dozen homes above don't have any water.

Crews tell 13 News that they expect to have power restored to the area soon.
