CHARLESTON, West Virginia -
When storms blew through Charleston Sunday afternoon, strong winds tore down several large trees.
The fallen trees crushed at least three houses in the area and numerous vehicles.
Representatives from the American Red Cross were in the area Monday checking to make certain residents had food, water and a place to stay.
Crews from the city were also out in the community chopping up debris and hauling it away.
The storm also left several customers without power.
Residents at Lippert Terrace organized an impromptu cookout since they only had limited power through a back up generator.
