Capitol Market closed due to power outage

CHARLESTON, West Virginia -

Capitol Market in Charleston was closed Monday because of a power outage.

Crews worked throughout the day to put up new transformers.

Customer's followed the progress on social media throughout the day.

Repairs continued Monday evening.

The West Virginia Department of Agriculture helped by providing a refrigeration trailer to help save items such as cheese, meat and produce.

TerraSalis also helped to remove a fallen tree on the property.
 
The market will reopen when power is restored.
