While many people are still without power, steps are being taken to evaluate the damage.

Beginning on Tuesday Federal Emergency Management Agency officials hit the ground in West Virginia.

They'll be meeting with state and local officials throughout the state to look over the destruction from the  Friday June 29 storm.

A FEMA spokesman said the review will focus on infrastructure, such as roads, bridges and public facilities that may have been affected.

Frank Blake said they'll likely gather at the Division of Highways' district offices around the state before fanning out.

While many people are still without power, steps are underway to evaluate the damage.
