The Charleston Police Department has scheduled a safety and seatbelt checkpoint for next week.
The checkpoint is scheduled for 5-10 p.m. Wednesday July 11 in the 1900 block of Washington Street West, according to a news release from the department
The checkpoint is aimed at promoting seatbelt usage and reducing crime and traffic-related activities in this portion of Washington Street, the news release states.
