A woman who was in jail facing several drug charges has been accused of using heroin with other inmates.
Trooper Will Hash, of the West Virginia State Police, says Allison Workman, 22, of Huntington, was found in possession of heroin Tuesday morning in jail.
She told troopers she smuggled the heroin into the jail when she was arrested by hiding the drugs in her vagina, Hash said.
Workman was arrested Friday, July 6, with three other people at an apartment in the 2500 block of Fourth Avenue in Huntington.
Workman's boyfriend, Joshua Cobble, 23, was also in the apartment with Workman where troopers found 25 grams of heroin, seven grams of crack cocaine, 13 grams of marijuana and a gun.
They were both charged with possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy.
A man from Detroit, Pasha Ellis, 37, was found outside the apartment with a similarly wrapped package of heroin to those found in the apartment, troopers said.
Ellis was arrested and charged with a felony accounts of possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanors.
Another man was found with marijuana outside the apartment and was also charged with a misdemeanor possession charge.
Workman will now face additional charges for smuggling drugs into jail.
