Teachers from across West Virginia spent Wednesday getting some special training in order to keep up with the latest technology.

More than 65 educators were in Charleston for a crash course on Apple's iPad. They were also learning about all of the apps available to them.

Organizers said the boot camp shows educators ways to help students tap into higher-learning and critical thinking skills. "It's a huge difference in our classroom. I have been using the iPad for the last year in our classroom. The kids are engaged it enriches their learning. They are doing collaborative learning cooperative grouping it's fantastic," said Kristina Painter, a teacher at West Teays Elementary School.

The training was organized by the West Virginia Center for Professional Development.
