A man was arrested this morning after a body was found in a Lincoln County creek Wednesday night.
Greg A. Justice, 31, of Sumerco, is accused of killing Daniel Cook, 30, also of Sumerco, according to Sgt. Michael Baylous, of the West Virginia State Police.
Cook's body was found in a creek in the Laurel Fork area of Woodville at about 9:30 p.m., according to police.
An autopsy is pending with the West Virginia Medical Examiner's Office, Baylous said.
Justice and Cook were friends, Baylous said. Cook was shot in the chest with a .22-caliber rifle. He was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center where he died of his injuries Wednesday night.
