YouthBuild Huntington will host an Education and Job Fair on Wednesday, July 18. The event will take place at 1816 St. Louis Ave., in the Marvin Gray Family Resource Center of Marcum Terrace.

The fair will take place between 1-3 p.m. Exhibitors will include Everest Institute, Marshall University, TRIO, ITT, TIPS Pharmacy School, Kmart, Walmart, Speedway, Rescare, Infocision, Starlight Behavioral Health Services, Information & Referral Services, Cabell County Public Library, Goodwill, and YouthBuild Huntington.

"Anybody interested in earning a G.E.D., enrolling in college, learning about scholarships, and/or finding a job that is right for them are welcome. Family, friends, and sponsors are also encouraged to attend," wrote Youthbuild Education Specialist Mark Joseph Jarrett in a news release.

YouthBuild states its goal as primarily serving low-income people between the ages of 18 and 24, who want to work toward higher education while learning job skills by building affordable housing for homeless people. The Huntington West Virginia Housing Authority provides primary local sponsorship for YouthBuild. Additional funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment, and Training Administration. For more information on this event, please contact Teresa Crisp, YouthBuild outreach/retention specialist, at 304-781-2035.
