Burning concerns in Wirt County

Posted: Updated:

Officials with the Wirt County Sheriff's Department tell 13 News, that there are people in the county who want to burn the limbs and debris that have fallen onto their property, following the June 29th storms and other recent weather events.

They say many people understand the reason why the governor put a burning ban in place, because of the dry conditions the state is experiencing.

Many people may be just hoping for rain, so the ban will be lifted, and people can burn some of the limbs that have fallen.
