HUNTINGTON, West Virginia -
A man has been arrested and linked to at least three copper thefts in Huntington.
Police said they caught Keith Samples stealing an air conditioning condenser from a unit behind the El Hajj Salon on 20th Street early Wednesday morning.
Investigators believe Samples was stripping the copper to sell at a scrap yard.
Detectives said Samples also broke into the ACF Industries lot located on Third Avenue earlier this year and stole more than 1,300 pounds of copper pipe and wire, and sold it to a scrap yard for more than $3,700.
Samples is also the suspect in the theft of two air conditioning units at Dr. Carolyn Clark's office, located on 19th Street, police said.
