Music students from around Scioto County participated in the first Honors Music Academy at Shawnee State University in June.
A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts funded the program.
Michael Barnhart was program director and T.R. Beery, instructor in piano, was program coordinator.
They are are planning another program for students in the fall.
Students spent four days at SSU studying music theory.
