Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
Cabell County deputies caught a man who tried to escape from custody.
The man from Glenwood, West Virginia, tried to bolt after he was arrested on DUI charges on Wednesday evening near the State Police barracks on Route 60 in Huntington.
Cabell County dispatchers said when they tried to take Erin Scott Short, 46, into custody, he exited his vehicle and attempted to run away. He only ran a few feet before deputies caught up with him.
Short is now charged with battery on a police officer and destruction of property.
