No one should be upset because no one picked the correct numbers to win the large Powerball jackpot last night. It didn't stop people from walking up to the lottery outlets to buy a chance at a multi-million
The Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter will host the Friends of the Shelter to celebrate the new extended hours on July 18 from 5- 7:30 p.m.
Any person who adopts a new pet will receive a gift bag with homemade treats and information on how to care for their animal. Those who don't wish to adopt can talk with John Preston Smith who is a dog behavior expert and will answer questions from 6- 7 p.m. Kids can also get their faces painted.
The Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter's business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. On July 17, the shelter will be open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays to increase more adoptions.
