Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
Appalachian Power temporarily turned off power in some areas of Clendenin in order to fix transmission problems, said Jeri Metheny, spokeswoman.
She added they are trying their best to restore electricity sometime this evening. Metheny said she did not believe Appalachian Power notified residents they were removing power, and they apologize for any inconvenience.
