A Mingo County town has been awarded a Water and Waste Disposal Grant worth $350,000.
The money will benefit those who live Gilbert.
State Director Bobby Lewis said that the money will come from the USDA Rural Development.
The money will be used to "upgrade the current water system and extend public water service to approximately 229 new customers within Mingo County," he said.
The upgrades will include replacement and repair of existing water storage tanks, a new telemetry system, and painting of various structures.
