Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
The Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind usually holds the McClanahan Memorial concert to raise funds for their organization, but this year they are giving back to someone who has helped them in the past.
The group held the concert and sold concessions to raise money for Angie Fletcher. She is an entertainer that has performed many times for the Association of the Blind and organized several concerts for them. She was in a car accident earlier this year and the association wanted to help with the medical bills.
"She's lucky to be moving around so hopefully she'll be back at her job and her singing career. And maybe we can bring some funds in and have some fun doing it," said Paul Slone with the Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind.
The Association will still be accepting donations on her behalf.
