Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
Just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the 800 block of 4th Avenue in Huntington, on a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found no one at the scene. According to police, around the same time a man had checked himself into the St. Mary's Emergency Room, with several gunshot wounds to the legs.
The man is identified as Asim Peterson, 31, of Huntington, and is listed in stable condition. The victim stated that he was in the area of the Icon Bar, along the 800 block of 4th Avenue, when a black male approached him and shot him.
The suspect is described as stocky, in his 20's, wearing black clothes.
