The West Virginia Sheriff's Association Youth Leadership Academy began on Sunday in Ona, according to a news release. The camp is for eighth and ninth graders and includes a variety of educational and recreation activities.
The camp is taking place at the Guyandotte Association Baptist Camp.
The children will learn about law enforcement careers and develop leadership skills.
The camp draws students from all over West Virginia. The camp continues through Friday.
