One group of people has come up with a plan for the capitol city. They're calling it Imagine Charleston.
They say the project will result in a 15 to 20 year plan for the future of Charleston.
They plan to meet to gather ideas about the city's existing market conditions, housing, and community development.
To gather as much input as possible, the team is holding open houses in neighborhoods around the city.
The first meeting for the East End of town will be held at Appalachian Power Park on Tuesday, July 17, from 3p.m. to 6p.m.
The second meeting for the West Side of Charleston will take place Thursday, July 19, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the main lobby of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
