A pair of Marshall University staff members have been awarded the Blackboard Catalyst Award for Exemplary Course Program, according to a news release.

Lori Ellison and Paula Kaplan were recently honored during Blackboard's annual user conference in New Orleans.

Ellison is an assistant professor of Counseling in the Graduate School of Education and Professional Development.  Kaplan is an instructional designer in Instructional Technology/Online Learning and Libraries.

The awards honor those who develop and design innovative courses that represent the best in learning and technology.

A total of 37 people were recognized for their work.

Blackboard is involved in enterprise technology and innovation solutions.
