Manna Meal in Charleston is planning a unique event to help stock the shelves of their pantry.
The group's annual Bean Stringin is set for July 21 at Capitol Market. The activity will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
People will be invited to help other Manna Meal volunteers string beans that will be canned and served later to people in need. Participants are asked to buy beans to contribute to the event.
There will also be raffle prizes and music during the event.
