The Cabell-Wayne animal shelter announces new extended hours for folks looking to adopt a pet.
They say the shelter will stay open until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays to give people who work late hours a chance to find a pet.
Workers say they have an influx of pets and people are always welcome to stop by.
People who come in on Tuesdays and adopt a pet will also get a free gift bag and workers will answer questions about caring for animals.
The shelter closes at 4:30 p.m. the rest of the week.
