Marshall University President Stephen Kopp will present the State of the University Tuesday in Washington, D.C., according to a news release.
The annual event will include the West Virginia congressional delegation and staff and other alumni and supporters.
The purpose is to show the effect that federally funded research projects have had in West Virginia.
New campus construction and the increase in enrollment are a couple of the topics that Kopp is expected to talk about.
Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick, Men's Basketball Coach Tom Herrion and Head Football Coach Doc Holliday are also expected to speak.
