New information on house explosion in Putnam County

HURRICANE -

We have some new information on a house explosion in Putnam County.

The structure on Martin's Branch Road in Hurricane exploded around 4:20 p.m. Monday.

A spokesperson for the West Virginia State Police says they are treating the incident as a possible meth lab because the owner Jimmy Ward has a previous history of drug arrests.

He was in the yard and was no injured.

Two people were in the house.  Investigators said their names are Trina Clapham and Anthony Hawkins but are not sure where the pair are from.

Both were taken to the hospital with burns.  Investigators said Clapham's burn's are severe.
