The Appalachian Power Park will host FAN Night in Charleston on August 25. It will be presented by Jefferson Whitney, a financial planning, insurance, and investment firm based out of Hurricane.
The event will be similar to Major League's DAN (Disability Awareness Night) event, in that is will bring awareness to the public about the special needs throughout the community. It will also help to introduce families with special needs to various organizations and services that could assist them. The event will celebrate those who care and advocate for the special needs community.
Many organizations and services with the special needs community will be represented throughout the night. They will include individuals with special needs throwing out the first pitch, singing the national anthem, and participating in the hot dog race.
