Members of the Marshall men's basketball team participated in its second team summer practice on Tuesday.

It was a light day on the court for the Thundering Herd.

The hour practice included walkthroughs, a shoot around and some light running drills.

The NCAA passed a new rule that now allows teams to practice together during the summer for two hours a week every five weeks.

Despite starting practice at 7:30 a.m. the team says they love the practice.

"It's real helpful," Marshall center Nigel Spikes said. "Getting up in the morning, getting your mind ready and things like that helps us build our team's chemistry."
