St. Albans police plan DUI checkpoint

The St. Albans Police Department is working with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department and the WV State Police for a road safety checkpoint.

The DUI checkpoint will be conducted at the intersection of Kanawha Terrace and Green Valley Dr. The checkpoint is going to be set up on Thursday, July 19 from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m.

It's part of an ongoing effort to decrease the number of impaired drivers on area roadways. The checkpoint is funded by the Governor's Highway Safety Program according to a news release from the St. Albans Police Department.
