West Virginia will receive more than $1.6 million in federal grants to help workers who lost their jobs due to foreign trade.
According to the Associated Press, U.S. Senators Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller alongside Rep. Nick Rahall announced the Trade Adjustment Assistance funding on Wednesday.
The money will pay for services such as training, job search and relocation expenses, in addition to employment and case work.
The state received more than $4.4 million earlier in 2012. The TAA funding marks the state's second allocation funding of the year.
