West Virginia's Broadband Deployment Council will mete out more than $3 million for high-speed Internet projects across the state, according to a release from the Associated Press.

Grant recipients will use the money to improve broadband access in rural and isolated areas.

The council will start accepting applications for projects next week. Grants will be awarded in November.
