The man accused of killing another man waived his right to a preliminary hearing today.
Greg Justice, 31, of Sumerco, appeared at the Lincoln County Courthouse today in Hamlin.
Daniel Cook, also of Sumerco, was found dead in the Laurel Fork area of Akol on July 11.
Deputies say he was shot in the chest with a .22-caliber rifle. They also say Cook and Justice were friends. But today's proceedings shed no light on what happened between the two men.
Justice's trial is set for a later date.
