The Cato Pool in Charleston reopened just in time for kids to cool off from the hot temperatures on Wednesday. The pool was closed for almost three weeks due to storm damage. The electricity at the facility was out for two weeks as a result of the recent storms.
Managers said there weren't as many kids out Wednesday as usual, but they expect more will come to the pool as word spreads that Cato is open again. "People have been calling just about every day to see if the pool is open and you know, it's been, it's been 2 and a half weeks so you know, I'm sure that the word will get around and kids will start showing up again," said Greg Moore.
The pool celebrated a grand reopening Wednesday, but actually opened on Tuesday.
