A film producer from California is shooting a movie in Huntington about the true story of a mother who lost three children in the 2007 Emmons Building fire.
On Wednesday, Rick Bieber was a guest at the Christ Temple Church, where he introduced a film he directed, wrote and produced called "The 5th Quarter."
Several local actors will be portrayed in his new film called "A Breath Away." It's based on the true story of a mother, Marcia Lucas, who lost three of her children during the Emmons Junior apartment fire.
Nine people died in the fire.
Bieber said he hopes his films are something that families can enjoy together and has a good message.
"I think these films can entertain, they can teach, and they can inspire. It can inspire people to do things they normally wouldn't do," said Rick Bieber.
"A Breath Away" should wrap up production in a couple of months.
