Swinefest 2012 is a festival that is celebrated in Huntington's Guyandotte area. This year, the festivities will be held August 23- 25.
Swinefest organizers are looking for participants for the parade on August 23. Participants will line up on Staunton Street in Guyandotte at 5 p.m. The parade will start at 6 p.m. and be led by this year's Grand Marshal, Hanah Baker, who is a 12 year-old heart transplant recipient.
The theme of this year's Swinefest is "Guyandotte Gets Scared". Two new events have been added to the schedule, which is the Zombie Walk and Zombie Motorcycle Ride. There will be several paranormal-themed events lined up, including a live ghost hunt at the Historic Maddie Carrol House.
