CHARLESTON, West Virginia -

The landscape on the grounds of the West Virginia Capitol Complex will soon change.

The Capitol Building Commission has approved a plan to remove and replace twelve trees, because they are damaged or diseased.

By law, the Commission must approve any substantial physical changes to the grounds or the building.

The commission also approved a plan to renovate the Department of Education offices, and to redesign the reception area at the Supreme Court.
