The Charleston Distance Run is looking for active military units to participate in the race events.
A special U.S. military entry fee of $20 per person is being offered for all events. They include the 15-mile run, three person 15-mile relay, 5K run, 5K walk, and 10K walk.
Applicants who wish to mail in for the military discount must be received by Aug. 31. Applications can be submitted in person from 4- 9 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center. There is no online registration for the military discount. Applications can be printed at www.charlestondistancerun.com and proper military identification must be presented to pick up race packets.
The Charleston Distance Run is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 1 in Charleston. For more information, visit www.charlestondistancerun.com.
