3 arrested in Nitro drug bust

The Nitro Police Department and members of the Metro Drug Unit arrested three people after a search of an apartment produced several pills.

According to police, authorities searched the apartment on 701 First Ave. S., Nitro around 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Police found 74 Hydrocodone pills, 95 Diazepam pills, and 9 grams of marijuana.

Police arrested Dora Mae Holliday, 58, of Nitro, Edward Leon Landis, 38, of Red House, and James Darrell Casto, 37, of Elkview.

The three were charged with possession with the intent to deliver. They were being held at the South Central Regional Jail, on a $10,000 bond each.
