Members of the Cabell county 911 council met Thursday afternoon to discuss things they learned following the storm that ripped through our area leaving thousands without power.
Officials from State Police, Huntington Fire Department, and Cabell Huntington Hospital talked about how working together during the crisis helped them learn to communicate with each other.
Many jumped in to field calls in the operations center and helped victims find the right agency for help.
With more storms on the way this week, officials say they are preparing for what comes next.
They say that people should have an emergency kit complete with enough food and water for three days, a flashlight and battery-powered radio.
