The Ninth Annual Walk for Independence is scheduled for Saturday, July 21 at Ritter Park in Huntington.
The event helps support the Mountain State Centers for Independent Living throughout West Virginia.
Nearly 100 walkers are expected to participate.
Staff members will also be involved with a dunking booth from 9 a.m. until noon.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m..
There is a $15 dollar cost per person.
Mountain State centers for Independent Living works to better the lives of people at home, work, and in their communities.
