An Ashland area church is trying to help a local child diagnosed with cancer.
Members of the Hillside Church will hold a bake sale and raffle Saturday, July 21 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the church on 11th Street and Greenup Avenue.
Cameron Wells is a seven year old Ashland child who was diagnosed with cancer back in 2010.
He underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and a bone marrow transplant in 2011.
Tests in February 2011 showed his cancer had returned and he now has to return to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for more treatment.
Volunteers are also taking donations of baked goods to sell at the event.
