According to the Associated Press, unemployment rates fell in 25 of the state's 55 counties during June.

Workforce West Virginia told the AP that 23 counties reported unemployment rate increases, while numbers remained stagnant in seven counties.

Jefferson and Monongalia counties both had the lowest rate in West Virginia at 5.2 percent.

Boone County had the highest rate at 12.2 percent.

West Virginia saw a one-tenth percentage increase from May's unemployment rate. Its seasonally adjusted rate was seven percent.
