Many people are wondering about the man who was killed in a high-speed chase with police this morning that ended with his death.
34-year-old Craig Keith lived with his roommate in a house tucked away in the South Hills area of Charleston.
But many neighbors on his street, Tuley Lane, said they never saw Keith or his roommate.
"Really I had no idea until you talked to me that anybody was living in that house," said Keith's neighbor, Scott Bobinger. "I had never seen no traffic or anything down at that house at all."
Other residents said they thought Keith was a manager at Sam's Club at Southridge.
One neighbor mentioned that Keith and his roommate kept to themselves, but were always friendly.
Police said Keith hailed from Altoona, Penn., where his family lives. Authorities contacted them about Keith's death early this afternoon.
But during a press conference, police described Keith as someone with a history of running from the law.
"We have received a statement from a confidante of Mr. Keith,"said Sgt. Michael Baylous with State Police.
That statement indicated that Keith was so unwilling to return to jail that he would do whatever necessary to keep from going back--going as far as pretending he had a weapon to have police shoot him.
Baylous added that police have heard this sentiment several times in their investigation such far.

Keith's roommate was understandably upset about his friend's death.
"This was a simple drunken incident," he said.
