UPDATE

Emergency dispatchers said two people were hit by a train in Jefferson near the underpass to Kanawha Terrace.  

The call to 911 came in right before 11 p.m. Friday.

Both people were transported to an area hospital.  There was no word on their conditions.

Police are still investigating.
