A man was arrested and charged with attempted bank robbery in Athens County, Ohio, this weekend.
Carl Davis, 25, of McConnelsville, Ohio, was found crouching in a closet at the Community Bank in Amesville, according to the Athens County Sheriff's Office.
An employee found Davis crouching in a closet at about 8 a.m., according to the Sheriff's Office. The employee threw the door shut and called for firefighters, who were setting up an event in the area.
Witnesses told police they then saw a man running into the woods.
The suspect was located nearly two hours later in the nearby wooded area by police and local firefighters and was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
A second suspect had been identified as an accomplice and warrants will be issued, according to the Sheriff's Office.
