People came out to string beans to help feed the hungry in Charleston.
Volunteers spent the day at Capitol Market stringing beans for this third-annual event. The beans will then be brought back to Manna Meal to be cleaned and frozen.
Last year volunteers strung enough beans to last the entire winter.
They also raised more than $1,200 in 2011. The organization sold raffle tickets to help raise money for their garden, where they also grow produce to feed Charleston's hungry.
